Clearing the obstacles
All of the earth work, site drainage, and aggregate for Koch’s new Urea Plant expansion was completed during this job, which was for a 170-acre site. It included 135,000 CY of topsoil stripping, 375,00 CY of earthwork, 194,000 tons of base rock for laydown and construction roads, 35,000 tons of subballast for new rail loop and rail loading, 35,000 CY of rubble hauled to local landfill, and 55,000 CY of topsoil replacement.
